Work in Progress : Tailor Shop OTR | 00

18 May 2015 / By John Blatchford

A few days ago, we introduced our 'Work in Progress' series. The goal of this work is to follow smaller redevelopment projects which you may not hear about in the headlines but which are shaping our city each and every day. To follow the series, please click on the 'Work in Progress' in the above navigation or below each post. We bring you our first 'Work in Progress' building: Tailor Shop OTR. The building at 1667 Hamer St. was built in 1845 at the corner of Hamer and Benton St. in the Northern Liberties of Over the Rhine. From about 1970 to 2011 the building sat vacant and neglected, suffering serious water damage. In 2011, OTR ADOPT bought the building and made sure it was safe and marketable for potential future use. The building was bought in 2014 by KUNST Development and is currently undergoing rehabilitation to become 3 1-bedroom apartments in the fall of 2015.

  • SCOPE: 3, 1-bedroom apartments
